SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to begin nonstop flights connecting Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route broadens the airline’s reach between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves Amman. The new service provides travelers with a second option for flying to Amman on the airline’s Sharjah network, enhancing its scheduled routes to Jordan.

The airline will operate flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Air Arabia has already opened bookings for this route via its website, call center, and travel agencies.
This new route enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan operations, which currently include flights from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah service extends the group’s connectivity to Amman City Airport from the UAE, complementing its current Jordan routes.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new route offers travelers a second airport option in Jordan’s capital. He emphasized that this service will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month prior to its scheduled launch in November. This new service will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi introduced its own route to Amman City Airport, starting on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This route, like the Sharjah service, also serves Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers from the UAE capital with two options for reaching Amman. In April, Air Arabia stated that its Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport’s launch.
Sharjah route adds four weekly Jordan flights
Operating with flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah service follows a fixed four-day weekly schedule. The airline deploys Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. It also offers onboard amenities such as SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe food service, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can reserve flights to Amman City Airport before the November 15 start via the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion strengthens Air Arabia Group’s Jordan connectivity through its hubs in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports from Abu Dhabi, while Alexandria maintains a direct link to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will introduce four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further expanding the group’s regional network.
