Flagship airline Emirates announced the launch of a cryptocurrency checkout feature on Tuesday, allowing eligible travelers to reserve flights using digital assets via its website and mobile application. According to an official statement from Emirates News Agency, Emirates and Crypto.com have introduced a new payment method for customers, building upon a strategic memorandum of understanding signed in July 2025. This digital asset payment system is accessible to residents of the United Arab Emirates for both international and domestic flights, with transactions settled in Emirati Dirhams (AED). Payments are processed through Crypto.com’s checkout portal, giving travelers direct access to their digital wallet balances during flight booking.
